  • Metal-to-Metal Fretting Control
  • -40 to 150 deg C Range

Product Description

MOLYKOTE G-407 Anti-Fretting Grease is a green PAG-based grease for metal-to-metal lubrication and corrosion protection in automotive brake-caliper guide-pin assemblies. The service-temperature range is -40 to 150 deg C. The grease has oxidation resistance, corrosion protection and compatibility with EPDM under the stated test condition. Typical properties include 265 to 305 worked penetration, less than 5% bleed and evaporation after 24 hours at 150 deg C, and no rust after 120 hours in the specified salt-spray test. Application may be manual, grease-gun or automated.

Key features

  • Brake-caliper guide-pin lubrication: Lubricates supported automotive brake-caliper mounting and guide-pin contact points.
  • Metal-to-metal fretting control: Provides PAG-based lubrication for supported metal pairings where fretting and corrosion are concerns.
  • -40 to 150 deg C range: Has this operating-temperature range for the stated application.

Applications

Applications include automotive brake-caliper mounting pins, guide pins and other supported metal-to-metal anti-fretting lubrication points.
