MOLYKOTE G-1041
Harmonization Code : 3403.19 | Lubricating Preparations (With 70% or More Petroleum Oils) For Automotive and Other Uses
Main features
- Plastic-Compatible Synthetic Lubrication
- -60 deg C Low-Temperature Operation
- Low-Evaporation PAO Grease
Product Description
MOLYKOTE G-1041 Grease is a beige PAO-based lithium grease for gears, actuators and bearings in supported plastic-to-plastic, plastic-to-metal and metal-to-metal contacts under low to medium loads. Its service-temperature range is -60 to 130 deg C, supporting selection for low-temperature mechanisms. Typical properties include 280 worked penetration, 2% bleed, less than 1% evaporation, and a 0.6 mm four-ball wear scar under the stated test conditions. The grease may be applied by brush, spatula or automated equipment after contact points are cleaned.
Key features
- Plastic-compatible synthetic lubrication: Lubricates supported plastic and mixed-material gears, actuators and related sliding contacts.
- -60 deg C low-temperature operation: Has this lower service-temperature limit for supported mechanisms.
- Low-evaporation PAO grease: Has less than 1% evaporation under the specified test condition.
Applications
Applications include supported gears, actuators and bearings using plastic-to-plastic, plastic-to-metal or metal-to-metal contacts under low to medium loads.
