- High-Load Metal Sliding
- -200 to 310 deg C Range
Product Description
MOLYKOTE 3402-C LF Anti-Friction Coating is an air-curing dry-film lubricant for metal-on-metal sliding contacts subject to slow through moderately fast movement and high loads. The gray, solvent-based coating contains solid lubricants in an organic binder and can be applied by spray, dip, centrifuge or brush. A 5 to 20 micron dry film is recommended. At 20 deg C, it becomes touch-dry in about 5 minutes and fully cures in about 120 minutes. The cured film has a service-temperature range of -200 to 310 deg C, with corrosion performance dependent on pretreatment, application and film thickness.
Key features
- Air-curing dry-film lubrication: Creates a bonded lubricating film without an elevated-temperature cure under the specified cure conditions.
- High-load metal sliding: Supports metal-on-metal sliding contacts operating at slow through moderately fast movement and high loads.
- Broad dry-film temperature range: The cured film has a service-temperature range of -200 to 310 deg C.
Applications
Applications include supported metal-on-metal sliding contacts such as pins, springs, bearing surfaces, hinges, locks, linkages, cams and threaded connections.
