LORD 360

Main features

  • 1:1 Equal-Volume Mixing
  • 5-10 Minute Handling Strength
  • Minimal-Sag Vertical Application

Product Description

LORD 360-A/360-B is an equal-mix, two-part epoxy adhesive system for bonding scuffed SMC, FRP, wood and plastics. The 1:1 volume mix has a typical 2-4 minute working time at 24 deg C and reaches handling strength in 5-10 minutes between 18 and 38 deg C. For general use, a 0.51-0.76 mm adhesive film is recommended, and the mixed material shows minimal sag on vertical or overhead surfaces. Full cure strength develops in approximately 24 hours at room temperature or in 20-30 minutes at 82 deg C.

Key features

  • Equal-Ratio Mixing: Resin and hardener are mixed at a 1:1 ratio by volume.
  • Assembly Handling: The mixed adhesive reaches handling strength in 5 to 10 minutes between 18 and 38 deg C.
  • Vertical Application: The mixed paste shows minimal sag on vertical and overhead surfaces.

Applications

Scuffed SMC, FRP, wood and other plastics, including sign-assembly applications.

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application

Thermal Properties
Flash Point
The flashpoint of a solvent is the lowest possible temperature at which it can vaporize to form an ignitable vapor. Flashpoint is often confused with “autoignition temperature”, which is the temperature at which a solvent ignites without an ignition source.
