Product Description
LOCTITE LB 8044 combines zinc dust and petrolatum in a non-curing zinc-based anti-seize paste. It is used on threaded and unthreaded metal joints, with particular application to aluminum and aluminum-alloy hardware, and also provides corrosion protection for aluminum and ferrous components. Typical applications include bolts, screws, studs, pipe joints, nuts, and plugs. Typical operating range for applications is -29 to 398 deg C. On 12.7 mm grade 8 steel bolts with grade 5 nuts, a torque coefficient of 0.15 was measured, compared with 0.27 for solvent-cleaned, unlubricated hardware.
