LOCTITE LB 771
Harmonization Code : 3208.20.90 | Paints and varnishes that are dispersed or dissolved in a non aqueous medium
Main features
- Nickel-Based High-Temperature Anti-Seize
- Galling and Corrosion Protection
- Threaded and Press-Fit Assembly Use
Product Description
LOCTITE LB 771 is a non-curing nickel-based anti-seize lubricant paste for threaded and press-fit assemblies exposed to high temperature and heavy pressure. The thick metallic-silver paste contains mineral oil, nickel, and graphite and remains a lubricating anti-seize layer rather than forming a cured film. Its operating range is -54 to 1315 deg C, with a typical viscosity range of 650,000 to 1,050,000 mPa s at 25 deg C. It reduces friction during tight assembly of stainless-steel threads and press fits and resists galling, corrosion, and wear while allowing easier disassembly after hot or corrosive exposure. It is not intended as a high-speed load-carrying lubricant for ball or roller bearings.
Key features
- Nickel/Graphite Anti-Seize: Mineral-oil paste containing nickel and graphite for heavy-duty anti-seize lubrication.
- High-Temperature Operating Range: Used across an operating range of -54 to 1315 deg C.
- Stainless-Steel Assembly Protection: Reduces friction and galling during assembly of stainless-steel threads and press-fit components.
Applications
Stainless-steel threaded and press-fit assemblies, chemical-plant bolts, pump housings, pipe flanges, drop-forge dies, hammers, and conveyor chains.
