LOCTITE AA 332
Harmonization Code : 3919.10.80 | Other self-adhesive plastic rolls not exceeding 20 cm wide.
Main features
- High-Viscosity Magnet Bonding
- Fast Activator-Assisted Fixture
- Impact- and Peel-Resistant Bonds
Product Description
LOCTITE AA 332 is a one-component, high-viscosity modified acrylic structural adhesive developed for metal and permanent-magnet bonding. It is used with separately supplied Activator 7387 for room-temperature cure and can also be heat cured with the appropriate time-and-temperature schedule. With activator on one side of a steel joint, fixture is 3 minutes or less at a 0.05 mm gap. After 24 hours at 22 deg C with Activator 7387 on one side, lap shear on steel is at least 11 N/mm^2; typical cured tensile strength is 17.9 N/mm^2 and peel strength is 3.5 N/mm. Performance varies with gap, surface preparation, activator use, and cure conditions.
Key features
- High-viscosity application control: Brookfield RVF viscosity is 75,000 to 130,000 mPa s (cP) at 25 deg C with spindle 7 at 20 rpm.
- Fast thin-gap fixture: Fixture is 3 minutes or less at a 0.05 mm steel gap with Activator 7387.
- Impact and peel resistance: Forms tough, durable bonds with impact and peel resistance for magnet bonding.
Applications
Structural metal-to-metal bonding, including magnet bonding and electric-motor assemblies.
