Main features
- Robotic Foam-Gasket Dispensing
- Heat Acceleration Below 100 deg C
- Low-Compression-Set Foam Sealing
Product Description
DOWSIL 3-8235 Silicone Foam Parts A/B combines two parts into a white silicone foam that cures at room temperature or with heat below 100 deg C to form integrated compression gaskets. Reduced, controlled flow supports robotic dispensing directly on components. The cured foam has low compression set and low density and is used in compressive seals, including low-force-deflection designs and assemblies with different component thermal expansion rates.
Key features
- Robotic foam dispensing: Reduced, controlled flow supports robotic application directly on parts.
- Room-temperature or heat-accelerated cure: The two-part foam cures at room temperature or with heat below 100 deg C.
- Low compression set: The cured foam has low compression set and low density for compressive sealing applications.
Applications
Compressive sealing between components with different thermal expansion rates; low-force-deflection seals; appliance and automotive plastic-component sealing.
