BOSTIK LADH1211

Main features

  • Sprayable One-Component Application
  • Unprimed Polyolefin Bonding
  • Pressure and Vacuum Forming

Product Description

Bostik LADH1211 is a one-component moisture-curing solvent-based adhesive for automotive interior trim assembly. The blue, medium-viscosity liquid is designed for spray application and can be used as a contact adhesive for pressure bonding and vacuum-forming processes. Its application scope includes unprimed polypropylene and unprimed polyolefin foam. Typical as-supplied data include 22% nonvolatile content and approximately 200 cP viscosity at 25 deg C. These characteristics define LADH1211 as a sprayable automotive interior adhesive for low-surface-energy substrates and forming workflows.

Key features

  • Sprayable one-component format: Medium-viscosity liquid for spray application without two-part component mixing.
  • Unprimed polyolefin bonding: Application includes unprimed polypropylene and unprimed polyolefin foam.
  • Pressure and vacuum forming: Used as a contact adhesive in pressure-bonding and vacuum-forming interior-trim processes.

Applications

Automotive interior trim bonding, including unprimed polypropylene and polyolefin foam.

Thermal Properties
Flash Point
The flashpoint of a solvent is the lowest possible temperature at which it can vaporize to form an ignitable vapor. Flashpoint is often confused with “autoignition temperature”, which is the temperature at which a solvent ignites without an ignition source.
10 °C
Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application
