Product Description
3M Weatherban Sealant Tape 5354 is a permanently tacky, non-curing butyl sealant tape for joints between glass, metal, wood, EPDM rubber, and many plastics. The black, 100% solids synthetic-rubber extrusion compresses into the interface and adheres to clean, dry surfaces. Typical water-vapor transmission is 0.39 g/m2 per 24 hours by ASTM E96-66 Procedure B. The tape resists cold flow and stays in place on vertical or overhead surfaces and around sharp corners. It should be aligned carefully as it comes off the roll, because repositioning usually distorts the sealant rather than allowing clean relocation.
