Main features

  • 0.025 mm Polyester Backing
  • Antistatic Handling of Static-Sensitive Electronics
  • Temperature Use Up to 130 deg C

Product Description

3M Anti-Static Electronic Tape 40 is a transparent polyester utility tape with a conductive-polymer acrylic adhesive for handling static-sensitive electronic components. The polyester backing is 0.025 mm thick, and the tape has a maximum temperature resistance of 130 deg C. Its antistatic construction is intended for manufacturing tasks such as holding, masking, and packaging. A plastic core minimizes contamination from paper-core debris in electronics work areas. Width options include 6.35, 12.7, 19.05, and 25.4 mm, providing different tape formats for placement around components and assemblies.

Key features

  • 0.025 mm polyester backing: The thin film is combined with a conductive-polymer acrylic adhesive for electronic holding and masking tasks.
  • Conductive-polymer acrylic adhesive: The adhesive provides the antistatic construction used for static-sensitive electronics handling.
  • Temperature-resistance limit: The tape has a maximum temperature resistance of 130 deg C.

Applications

Masking, holding, and process use in static-sensitive manufacturing areas around sensitive electronic equipment.
